Finbarr O’Neill Ltd. are a long established Sand and Gravel Company in Ballincollig. Locals and visitors alike have been enjoying their unique displays at their offices in Poulavone. Their is a great sense of anticipation as to what they will come up with next. Needless to say, each piece of work has added to the occasion for which they were created.

This company goes above and beyond for their community and Ballincollig Tidy Towns is indebted to them for their generosity and assistance with four particular projects in the past few weeks.

In last year’s National Tidy Towns Adjudication Report, Ballincollig Fire Station came in for a negative comment. Finbarr O’Neill approached Ballincollig Tidy Towns about this and offered to donate plum shale to the Fire Station. Station Officer Mark Bernardi and his team prepared the ground for the shale and, with the assistance of Kevin Cullinane of O’Neills, spread it out around the premises. The result has been amazing.

They also donated plum shale at the entrance to the Old Square which was spread under the trees and has transformed the area.

The newly named Circle K (formally Topaz) has been completely re-branded and revamped. Unfortunately, the revamp did not include the external part of the premises. Again, Finbarr O’Neill offered to supply the stone and Kevin and his team spread this for them. The result was incredible.

Finally, there was an old flower bed in Scoil Eoin and again O’Neills donated and spread plum shale on this. They also placed a large rock in the middle of it making a lovely feature.
