One of the latest additions to our Pollinator Corridor was planted in May. We identified an area on the Killumney Road near the entrance to Gaelscoil Ui Riordain and prepared the ground and have planted wild flower  seeds to form a wild flower meadow. This is coming along very well.
Work done by CE Worker John O’Neill in the past week has been incredible. Once again Flynn’s Road is being brought back to life and John has done an incredible job clearing and tidying the ditch along the road and preparing it for planting.
We are indebted to John O’Donovan of O’Donovan Agri Environmental who once again has been extremely helpful in giving of both his time and equipment. Over the last 2 weekends we have been out very early power washing paths, walls and the Traffic Islands around Ballincollig. The difference is fantastic. We have one more morning lined up to finish off the rest of them.
