Last week the trees at the entrance to Eastgate were removed. This has opened up the whole area. Prior to their removal, over 6,000 empty drink cans were uncovered among the trees. On removal the trees were mulched and the wall was power washed to reveal a nice relaxing area among the madness of the traffic. Stones were placed around the seats and with the lights in the evening the area has been transformed.
