And so the time had come to say goodbye and thank you to the members of staff, past and present, of Cork County Council. It was the end of an era.
No words could fully convey the gratitude Ballincollig Tidy Towns has for the Cork County Council staff. The work they did throughout the years was tremendous.
Last week Ballincollig Tidy Towns hosted an event to mark the wonderful work and cooperation that has existed between the two groups.
Mr Tom Butler presented the Council with a locally made replica of Ballincollig Castle.
Mr Tim Lucey presented Tom with the Munster ‘Excellence in Placemaking’ Award that the Council received from the CBRE for Ballincollig Regional Park.
Mr Butler commended staff past & present for their engagement and willingness to work with Ballincollig Tidy Towns in the development of Ballincollig over recent years.
Mr Lucey praised the way Ballincollig had led the way for the Council in engaging with Tidy Town groups throughout the County and noted that in 2018 over €336,000 was allocated to Tidy Towns Groups across the County.
