HOLDFIRM  IS THE NEW CAMPAIGN ROLLED OUT BY THE HSE TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO CONTINUE FOLLOWING THE ADVICE TO REDUCE THE IMPACT OF CORONAVIRUS ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
Michael D Higgins penned a poem in 1993 called ‘Take Care’ and this is the motivation behind the HSE’s latest campaign.
Everyone in Ireland has worked hard to do their bit to flatten the curve, protect their health and those around them and save lives. Because of the actions taken the impact of the virus on our country was reduced. However, it is now essential to motivate and inspire people to keep going in order to reduce the spread of the virus even further.
The sacrifices we have all made have not been easy but they have been essential and we understand that our actions have helped ourselves, our families and the most vulnerable in the community.

Take Care, a poem Michael D Higgins
In the journey to the light,

the dark moments should not threaten.
Belief
requires
that you hold steady.
Bend, if you will,
with the wind.
The tree is your teacher,
roots at once
more firm
from experience
in the soil
made fragile.
