A very noticeable difference
On Sunday morning Denis and the Transition Year Students who are completing their Gaisce Award did a fantastic job cleaning the Recycling Units in the Car Park. They also picked a bag of litter from around the bins. A very noticeable difference.

Very positive
The Sunday morning before Easter we had 19 volunteers plus 3 Transition Year Students out for our Weekly Litter Pick. We also welcomed our youngest and newest volunteer Dylan helping out his Granddad Eugene despite the rain.
We collected just 6 bags today which is very positive. We also collected 1 bag of leaves from Leo Murphy Terrace.
The week before we had 16 volunteers out and collected 8 bags litter which was again very positive.

Spring Work Schedule
This week as part of our ongoing Spring Work Schedule we carried out work on the Old Fort Road where we cleaned kerbs and also the base of the beech hedging.

Bee Boxes
Spring is in the air and our Bee Boxes are being prepared for the Summer by being cleaned and repainted by Denis and our Transition Year Students.
Hopefully we will get some brighter weather to get the bee boxes back on Poulavone Roundabout.

Cigarette butts and gum bins
Every Sunday morning we empty the Cigarette Butt and Gum bins and we are always very pleasantly surprised to see the the number of butts and gum that are in each one. It is a very positive result and we are very grateful to those who use them daily.
