Last Sunday while litter picking the boundary of the Old Topps Site, one of our Volunteers asked if it was possible to get the site cleaned as it was an eyesore and the briars were a danger to pedestrians..
After taking a look at the boundary, the first thing we noticed were the protruding briars which were a danger to the many pedestrians who walk that route every day. We arranged for one of our CE Workers to remove them on Monday.
While it is the responsibility of the landowners to clean the site (this being a condition of the site),our requests have fallen on deaf ears. So we took the decision to clear the briars ourselves as they are a danger to the many daily pedestrians. Hopefully the landowners will now keep it cleared.
