Ballincollig Tidy Towns is now in a position to inform the Community of the number of visitors to the Regional Park. In January of 2018, a counter was installed at the Playground Entrance to the Regional Park. From 1st January to 16th April, 2018 that same entrance had 83,495 users entering the Park. The total number of users accessing the Park from that one counter for the entire 2018 was 347,441 Assuming 52% accessed the Park in 2018 via the only counter point, statistically it would indicate that there would have been a total of 662,659 people access the Park from the three access points for the year.
In January 2019, we had another two counters installed at the remaining entrances. Since January this year, the number of visitors entering the Regional Park was 159,582. This number is split as follows: Allotment Entrance 43,256 (27% of total users); GAA Entrance 32,655 (21% of users); Playground Entrance 83,671 (52% of total users).
