CHANGING TIMES
Welcoming people to Cork City. Another ‘sign’ that Ballincollig is part of the city now.
It is so important that we support our own. The more support we give the stronger our community becomes. We appreciate the support of our sponsors.

REGIONAL AWARDS PRESENTATIONS
The South West Regional Awards Presentation of the 2019 SuperValu National Tidy Towns Competition will take place on Friday 6th December in Ennis. Ballincollig Tidy Towns will be in attendance to receive both their Eight Gold Medal and County Award.

Christmas is fast approaching and the Ballincollig Business Association is delighted to announce that this year’s ‘Christmas Lights Turn On’ takes place on Friday the 29th of November at 6pm outside the Shopping Centre.

A new light system will be launched and some special guests have been lined up to help celebrate. Once again the students of Gaelscoil Uí Ríordáin will form part of the entertainment. The award winning Polyphonics Barbershop Choir featuring  BBA member and local businessman John McNamara will also be entertaining on the night.

Hopefully there will also be an early visit from Mr and Mrs Claus.

Clean Air Week is a week-long event, from 18th to 22nd November and is the newest campaign from the Green-Schools Travel Programme. It is focused on raising awareness of,and taking action on, air pollution at the school gates.
Green-Schools are asking students to make a pledge to #BeatAirPollution in order to create a healthy environment around the school gate and to improve well-being by travelling to school actively.
The Green-Schools Programme operates in over 90% of schools nationwide and has been operating for over 20 years in Ireland. The Travel theme is the fourth theme of the programme and is funded by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport and supported by the National Transport Authority.
