Daffodil fields is located in the poulavone town-land to the east of ballincollig. Bought in 1995 from the Corkery family the first houses were completed in 1996.
It was called daffodil fields as prior to building it was a field full of daffodils. The builders were Hayes and Fleming and the architect was Richard Rainier from South Africa.
In all there are 59 houses. There is a very strong sense of involvement in residential matters ie barbecues and Xmas carols and clean ups
We are keen to promote biodiversity and hence we have planted our tubs with bee friendly flowers and this year our first attempt at the wild flowers.
