Ballincollig Tidy Towns Committee took the decision some months ago to leave the grass uncut on the Poulavone Roundabout until April. This was to let the bumblebees have an ample supply of food from the dandelions.
Finally last Saturday morning eight of our Volunteers went onto the roundabout and cut the grass.
The entire project was completed in under two hours. All the cut grass was bagged and removed to the allotment for the compost bays.
