VMware Cork are constantly looking for new ways to give to the community in which they work and live. It is very important to the management that their employees have the opportunity to make a difference not only in the workplace but also in their local community. Volunteering at VMware Cork is employee led. All full-time employees have 40 hours each year to give to the community in whatever way they want, we call this Service Learning.
VMware Cork’s commitment is to be a force for good. They have a team of employees dedicated to making volunteering as easy as possible. They are called the ‘Cork Giving Network‘. While everyone has their “Day Jobs” in VMware, ranging from Technical support to Finance, VMware encourages and enables it’s employees to make a positive impact in the community by amplifying the efforts of their fellow employees.
Having a long history working with Ballincollig Tidy Towns VMware have assured us that they are delighted to continue working together in the coming year and hopefully, for many more to come! They are delighted with the work that Ballincollig Tidy Towns does and are very proud to help in whatever way they can. They have told us that they are excited to once again kick off their weekly volunteering slots with Ballincollig Tidy Towns in the coming weeks.
Ballincollig Tidy Towns greatly appreciates the tireless work that the employees from VMware continue to do. Because of their efforts, we have been able to tackle and complete projects that otherwise would have to have gone untouched until our own volunteers would have time to get to them.
